I was heading north to stay over at my sons’ house tonight because the oldest and youngest are heading south so that Josiah can take his Praxis exams. Currently they are parked under a bridge as a severe band of Thunderstorms are passing over. I have stayed home, and plan on driving north in the wee hours of the morning, because I am taking Jonathan to take is SAT’s (for entrance into University) tomorrow morning at 8. Yes, one son taking teaching exams, the other college entrance exams, on the same morning. AND we get hit with severe weather. Only us.
The youngest, Micah is just along with Mom and Jo for the ride and looking forward to going to the Nature Center in Harrisburg tomorrow while his brother is scribbling dots onto answer sheets. I hope that the place isn’t a mud bath in the wake of this rain that I hear pelting my windows.
Not only is Jon taking his SAT exams tomorrow, but he is graduating from High School on Wednesday. Am I really that old? Jon will be the second graduate of the three, Josiah is at University, and Micah is going into 11th grade. I think I might faint.
I tell them. But I should tell them more frequently. I want them to have no doubt how very proud I am of each of them, the Teacher, the Musician, the Writer. They have grown up into such good, good young men. I couldn’t be happier.
