There have been so many versions of this song, but this version is my favorite. If you’ve been following this blog for any length of time you’ve probably seen this before. In fact I wrote about it both last year and the year before. And if you’d like to engage in the new fad of calling this the Creeper Song, well I ask that you first read my rather in-depth debunking of that in last year’s post, after some discussion of John Greenleaf Whittier’s poem “Snowbound.” Yes, I do like to pack a lot of info in sometimes, don’t I?
