It’s Saturday, and I’ve had a long, long day and just a little sleep. So now with a glass of wine in hand I bring you the song I am unwinding to right now. The last couple of years I’ve really gotten into bands with a lot of instruments, and a decidedly folk-rock feel–Devotchka, Beruit, Bellowhead, Mumford and Sons, even Frank Turner and his band.
This song is from The Lumineers. Their self-titled debut Album came out last year, but in August of 2013 they released the deluxe version after “Ho Hey” enjoyed some serious success on the charts. Oh, and I just love Neyla Pekarek, their cellist. But no commentary tonight, no analysis. Let’s just sing. If you haven’t heard “Dead Sea,” you should. If you have, you know you want to listen again.
